“This is all a part of our enhanced marketing plan,” said Lavon Driskell, athletics director and women’s basketball coach. Driskell noted the college has introduced three sports in the past three years and will add baseball and softball in 2010-2011.
“We really needed the upgraded Web site as a communications tool for our fan base and for our conference. It’s much easier now to keep the site updated.
Hunter safety class, Oct. 10- A Hunter Safety class will be held Oct. 10 at the Houston Courthouse from 8 am. To 6 p.m., according to Master Sergant Danny Nicholson with the Dept. of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. Students must bring their Social Security number with them and a correct mailing address.
All persons born on or after Jan. 1, 1972, must successfully complete a Hunter Safety Course before he/she can purchase a license at the age of 16. Also, all person going out West to hunt must have a Hunters Safety Course in order to purchase a hunting license.
