Schooner Valley Baptist Church in Houlka will being a First Place 4 Health program on Jan. 1, 2009 at 6 p.m. The program is a biblical approach to weight loss for overall good health.

New Year celebration at Crossroads

Crossroads Youth Center in Houlka will be open Dec. 31 to celebrate New Year from 5 p.m. until midnight. A live Christian rock band will entertain and a guest speaker will bring the message. Fireworks and door prizes will be on hand and concessions are available. For information, call 568-2403.
